Yesterday I posted about a carpenter I met. Today Iam all a twitter (no not that one) about the possibilities or doors this opens up for our company. Not only do we have a division for property development. Not only are we developing a distribution business throughout The Gulf Islands that could sell the pieces of art I could develop with his help. But also I realized I could represent this guy.

I worked for a few years in a talent agency (Hodgson & Company Artist Management). And the one thing I realized is that 95% of the people had no talent. What they were doing was using their status as a participant in the bustling Vancouver movie business (built on scab labour practices?) to validate their otherwise pretty dismal careers. Anyway the point is this guy has talent – multi talented – like a multi faceted diamond?

But beyond representation I can promote us as a team. I’m not getting much traction with my job offering. But. But. But. But with my new $50 Dust and Particulate Respirator I can offer the Carpenter (Nickname coming soon) and myself as a “Kick Ass” team. Iam thinking of charging $150 (HST Included / Receipt Provided) for a 4 hour shift. Iam pretty sure it would be the most Productive, Progressive and Care Full (Our Company Motto) $150 anyone on Texada could spend. The price for off island work, which we will also promote, would be higher (around $250).

CRC will be a three stage recovery.

1. Nurse back to physical health while at the same time making sure they don’t bolt !!! Be aware of nervousness. Estimated time 1 to 2 weeks. Cognitive Group Therapy optional from day one.

2. Identifying issues. Introducing 12 Steps. Cognitive Group Therapy or One on One therapy mandatory. Physical exercise (Yoga, weights, cardio) introduced. Rock and Roll Rehab. Identifying music that influenced their lives. Estimated time 6 -12 weeks.

3. Half Way House. Putting action plans from Stage 2 into practice. Estimated time 1 -3 months.

I have some interest from my A.A. sponsor. She is 21 years sober. She has had the spiritual experience that is paramount to sustained sobriety. She walks the walk and talks the talk. I need more people like her. (Insert open call for the select few who actually work the A.A. 12 Step Program or any 12 Step Program. We feel they are interchangeable.

But I am slightly serious about suing the governments. Because I am sure they won’t let a business person run their company the way they want. In my ideal world I would only have one company holiday a year – December 23rd. On this day we would celebrate Winter Solstice, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

I want, however, to have my employees on six and one cycles. Six days on one day off. Six weeks on one week off. Six months on one month off. So in a year you would receive about.

52 weeks / 52 days off

52 weeks / 7 day week cycles = 7.2? week cycles X 1 week off = 50.4 days off

12 months / 7 month cycles = 1.7 month cycles X 1 month off = 50.1 days off

about 153 days off a year.

Nice work if you can get it.

But illegal according to the government. Because they are so imminently more wise than us idiots that they govern?

There are a few reasons for naming our 12 Step Recovery Centres this. But the one I will share now is that we want the people we serve not to have to go through this complicated process alone. We want their “incidents” of recovery to be shared with our staff. We want to be vigilant in our efforts to return them to themselves, their families, friends and society in general as loving and disciplined peoples.
